The
GWX
Series Coating Stations are designed to coat low column strength devices, such as guide wires and low diameter catheters, up to 180 cm in length. By raising the solution tubes up, the devices remain stationary and do not follow a bend, allowing them to remain in their strongest position.
The modular design of the
GWX
allows you to easily select the feature packages and automation level you need without the long lead times high costs that come with custom designed equipment.
Removable cassettes can be preloaded and inserted into the machine or loaded while in the machine. An optional comb removes tangles, straightens and guides the devices into the solution. The solution tubes then rise to the stationary devices so the devices do not need to bend around a turn. You program the immersion speed, distance and extraction speed that is right for your device and chemistry.
A dual solution option accommodates two separate solutions for those coating technologies requiring two unique fluids.
Optional flow directed dipping assists with dipping low column strength devices, using solution circulation to draw them straight within the dipping tube. Solution is re-circulated, ensuring valuable chemistry stays fresh and lengthening its usability. A weir keeps the fluid level within the dipping tubes constant, ensuring a repeatable, uniform coating height. Active fluid sensing and automatic replenishment of solution ensure solution is always present. An optional Viscosity monitor provides critical feedback on solution quality.
Up to 14 modular Cure Sources flood proper spectrum UV light. Each device individually rotates in front of the UV source, ensuring a uniform cure. Each modular Cure Source can cure 25 cm of part length. Sources can be added in to prewired compartments to cure up to 180 cm of length.
An automatic cover closes over the solution tube openings to protect solution from UV exposure during curing.
