Harland’s Lubricent UV Hydrophilic enables catheters and guidewires to navigate through the most difficult anatomies consists of a blend of a hydrogel-forming polymer combined with a proprietary photo-reactive compound dissolved in isopropyl alcohol.

Bacticent Antimicrobial Coating

Bacticent antimicrobial coating can be a major differentiating feature to your temporary implanted medical device. Bacticent CHX Antimicrobial Coating, for example provides broad spectrum efficacy with a well characterized drug. The heat cured co-polymer matrix provides controlled delivery of chlorhexidine diacetate right from the surface of your device. And it is delivered in the tissue most susceptible to infection.
Elution times can be engineered to deliver the infection-fighting compound needed for your application – from as short as a few hours, up to over 60 days.

Not all device substrate materials can be coated directly with a lubricious or antimicrobial coating. For these applications Harland provides a variety of Primer Solutions which each act as a “tie layer” between these substrates and the functional top coats. They provide a uniform, compatible surface to which any of the Harland coatings can be applied.

Tylicent Primer

Tylicent Primer Solution

Not all device substrate materials can be coated directly with a lubricious or antimicrobial coating. For these applications, Harland provides a variety of Primer Solutions which each act as a “tie layer” between these substrates and the functional top coats. They provide a uniform, compatible surface to which any of the Harland coatings can be applied.
